a late bloomer. . .or a never bloomer

Obviously 8 years of watching Oprah has still taught my mother nothing about the delicate nature of the teen girl psyche, as is exemplified by our conversation yesterday:

Mom (in Chinese): I think you might have a problem. . .I had huge boobs when I was your age. Huge. I think we should go see a doctor about your boobs.
Me: . . . can we stop talking about my boobs.
Mom: All I'm saying is that my boobs were huge.

Heidi Montag probably had the same conversation with her mother. And now she's broke and has damaged hair.
