“I think we have more people in society now that describe a feeling of missing something--'there’s just something missing in my life and I don’t know what’s missing.' But yet they describe something very tangible, very very close to them that they’re missing.
And desire, true desire, may very well be, for many people, what is missing.”

I think maybe true desire is missing from my life. I have little wisps and whims of want, little flights of fancy and little obscure obsessions--but no kind of fiery va va va voom that leads me to charge forth, torch in hand. How bland! How very bland of me!
Hmm, something for me to ponder as I sit here eating this grapefruit. Will this quote be the kickstart of this summer's philosophical thought dilemma? Perhaps!
Sometimes quotes are so stupid. And sometimes I hate them. Because they remind me of AIM profiles back in the day when every girl in eighth grade would quote Audrey Hepburn's eternally cutesy saying about believing in pink and whatnot. But I think now I am beginning to like quotes again. WHEN USED PROPERLY.
For a bit of levity (after that tiny glimpse at the sprouting of a personal crisis), here's a picture of my dad sitting in an inner tube at the Beach Waterpark circa 2009:
"After you take a shit, you need to always wipe your own ass. Don't ask others to wipe it for you."
