Happy Thanksgiving! Fun Fact

If you've seen the musical Rent, there is a dog that is murdered (hilariously, although let's be honest, murder is nothing to laugh at). And its name is Evita the Akita. I am watching the Westminster Dog Show (Zhang family tradition on our fine Thanksgiving mornings), and the Akita came on the screen, alongside a fun fact:

Helen Keller brought the first Akitas into the United States.

**Edit sidenote 3 minutes later: bahahhahah I just googled "akita" and because they just appeared on the dog show, someone's Twitter said this "Helen keller brought the first Akitas to America? Bet she didn't know that. . ." soooooo inapropo, yet sooooo apropo.
