graduation sentimentality. it's kinda like pms, but even more weird.

Because it's so irrational. It's 4 years of school with people who you kinda half hated the entire time! But. . .it's the last time you can hate them but hate them like you hate a family member because your high school was like a second home. Once you leave that safe zone, some people you love to hate on, you'll never see again.

And then all the relationships begin to show their faults and crack apart. Those that are only held together by constant contact crumble and fade--something that ought to be altogether pretty depressing. But because we are typically carpe diem loving people (except those oddballs who wear shirts that say "All Suffer Now" or those who are just extremely jaded), we focus on the more sentimental aspect of graduation, which is good for cute pictures, cute songs, cute facebook statuses, cute flash mobs (check it out biznatches http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-GM00uZlXo), and cute memories.

It's kinda like a necessity for the majority of people to feel like crying, but the truthy truth is this: Only those sad few will continue to live with that longing for high school beyond maybe 4 months from graduation. Let's all play an imaginary game of Noses and hope that it's not us.

That being said, I fear that I might be that one person who moved their finger to the tip of their nose just a bit too late--I've honestly loved high school. I've learned how to work the system, and I feel safe within the confines of what others compare to a prison. College is a scary unknown--who knows how I'll deal? I guess that's for me to find out.

1.) Zooey Deschanel
I just wanna be her. She is perfect. She can sing. I love her 50s style. I loved her in 500 Days of Summer. I love She & Him. I love her haircut. Really. Please, just let me swap lives for like 3 days.

2.) Boys Who Wear Glasses When They Typically Don't
Now I'm not exactly sure if this is true of all boys. However, whenever I see a boy wearing glasses who typically doesn't wear glasses, they are somehow more appealling. It is strange indeed, I think it has something to do with my attraction to intelligent boys. Or perhaps remnants from my childhood (okay, you caught me, and CURRENT) obsession with Arthur Read (of "Arthur" fame).

3.) She's Got You High
You guys, I totally should've put this up here like 3 months ago, but I forgot. This song (along with Life in Technicolor II) are going to be my summer anthems. Just cause. . .well, I basically feel like they are perfect embodiments of pure happiness. Yeah. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXFXjh9a8lY there's the link. Click it. Love it. Etc.

4.) The Fact That My Pandora Is Currently Set To Bon Iver, But A Juno Song Just Came On
WHAAA?! Love it! It's "Anyone Else But You" which is so ironic because I just was playing this CD in my car because I got it from the library--oh no now that I think about it. . .those CDs are overdue. Crap!

5.) The Fact That I Just Changed My Email Password
Okay, so my email was set up for me when I was 8 years old--when my brother asked me for what I wanted for my password, I said "Balloons" so that is what my password was. All my other passwords are for sure not balloons, but I kept balloons as my password up until like 2 weeks ago. And I have been suspecting hackers of hacking into my email (just because I am always a suspicious person, also known as kinda paranoid). And now it's something so great. It makes me laugh everytime. It's not even funny though. It's just like. . .kinda stupid. But hilarious. . .ya know?

Mm. . . rambling (:

It's okay, my last full day of high school is tomorrow. And then . . .it's over.
